BLUE RIBBON - Jardines - 454g
Description
The town of Buesaco lies on a ridge high in the Andes mountains of Nariño. The name Buesaco Jardines translates to "Buesaco Gardens" and refers to the lush gardens that are present in coffee farms in this area. This blend is a way of creating larger, more manageable lot sizes from some of the choice farms in Buesaco. This season there are 3 farms that contributed to this blend. The high elevation and diverse microclimate also contribute to the complexity of this coffee. Farmers here work very diligently, carefully selecting only the ripest fruits for production. Cherries are fermented for 24 hours after harvest, and for another 18 hours after being de-pulped. The coffee is then fully washed with spring water and dried for 20 days on a raised patio.
